Paul Bryan Promoted to Manager, Business Development - 8/8/2008
Froehling and Robertson, Inc. is pleased to announce that because of the recent promotion of Alan Tuck, Paul Bryan has been promoted to Manager, Business Development.
Mr. Bryan, who has been working in F&R's Roanoke office as a Staff Engineer since May 2005, brings a wealth of real-world knowledge to the position.
Alan Tuck Promoted to Regional Director, Business Development - 8/7/2008
Froehling and Robertson, Inc. is pleased to announce that Alan Tuck has been promoted to Regional Director, Business Development. Mr. Tuck has served as Manager, Business Development for the past 11 years.
This is a new, Corporate-level position that will have responsibility for assisting with business development efforts throughout the company. Mr. Tuck will be tasked with putting new procedures in place that will allow F&R to not only develop stronger, companywide business development efforts, but also more quickly bring corporate marketing resources to bear in those markets where problems are arising.

Shawn Harris Joins F&R as a CMT Project Manager - 7/30/2008
Froehling and Robertson, Inc. is pleased to announce that Shawn Harris has joined the company as a CMT Project Manager. Mr. Harris has over six years of construction materials testing (CMT) experience and has worked on large-scale construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Froehling and Robertson, Inc. is pleased to announce that Brendan Quirk has joined the company as a Staff Engineer. Mr. Quirk started with the company after earning his M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering at Virginia Tech.
F&R Opens New Aberdeen, MD Field Office - 6/2/2008
F&R has opened a new field office in Aberdeen, Maryland which will be staffed under the direction of our Baltimore office. The main purpose of the new office will be to increase the level of support we provide our clients at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds and the surrounding area.
The new office is located at 2109 Emmorton Park Road, Suite 111, Edgewood, Maryland.
Tom Colson Publishes an Article in the ELI's National Wetlands Newsletter - 6/1/2008
Dr. Tom Colson - an Environmental Specialist in F&R's Raleigh Office - recently published an article entitled "Topographic and Soil Maps Do Not Accurately Depict Headwater Stream Networks" in the May/June edition of the in the Environmental Law Institute's National Wetlands Newsletter. Tom and his fellow authors (James Gregory of North Carolina State University and John Dorney and Periann Russell of the North Carolina Division of Water Quality) made the following argument in their paper:
Topographic and soil maps are often used to determine the location of headwater stream corridors for federal and state planning and regulatory purposes. Yet these maps are often inaccurate, raising serious questions about their use in regulatory applications.

Brian Bucek Joins F&R as a Geotechnical Staff Engineer - 5/27/2008

The main purpose of the new office will be to increase the level of support we can provide our clients at Fort Belvoir and the surrounding area.
