Forensic Sciences Facility, Roanoke, VA
This is a state-of-the-art forensics sciences facility. The project total was $12.5 million and featured a full-service chemistry laboratory, DNA testing laboratory, toxicology lab, ballistics, latent prints lab, and an autopsy laboratory. This 19-month project included construction administration, scheduling monitoring, scheduling recovery recommendations, change order reviews, and scheduling of owner-furnished equipment. During startup procedures for each of the various systems noted above, our on-site administrator had to be present to ensure proper working conditions.
The complexity of the mechanical, electrical, and security systems made this project exceptionally challenging.
