F&R Richmond welcomes new cmt department manager

Froehling and Robertson, Inc. (F&R) is pleased to announce that Jessica “Jesse” Behmke, PG, has joined the firm as Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Department Manager in our Richmond, VA, office. Ms. Behmke recently served as branch manager at an engineering consulting firm in Lawrenceville, GA, and she brings more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of construction material testing and special inspections.

Ms. Behmke began her career as a field geologist, where she developed a solid understanding of the mineralogical and physical characteristics of soil. As her career progressed, she honed her skills in new construction technologies and testing methods. She has become especially adept in specialized areas of concrete testing, such as low-strength investigations, concrete moisture/vapor emission testing, and floor flatness testing. As her professional growth led to project manager and branch manager roles, she refined her ability to apply CMT knowledge while providing support on multiple levels during projects.

“I hope to create a collaborative environment to meet client and project needs, and I feel the best way to do this is to be involved in both the field and the office,” said Ms. Behmke. “I enjoy helping my team and clients find realistic, common-sense solutions to project challenges in real-time with open communications and transparency.”

With her combined experience and desire to provide stellar service to clients, Jesse is a perfect addition to the existing CMT personnel in Richmond. The local staff is genuinely excited about continuing to cultivate long-term relationships and enjoying the further success of the CMT department together.

“During our short time with Jesse thus far, it’s evident that she will foster great teamwork and instill a fun and growth-focused professional atmosphere,” said Brendan Quirk, F&R Richmond Branch Manager. “We are thrilled to have someone with her professional experience and winning personality join our team and provide some much-needed support.”

Ms. Behmke received her Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, PA. She is a Certified Professional Geologist and holds multiple certifications through the International Code Council (ICC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI).
