William L. Westerman, II, PE

Branch Manager / Geotechnical Engineer

William Westerman got his passion for engineering early on in life.  He always had an interest in building things, lego sets expanded to puzzles and model vehicles.  After he started school he excelled specifically in math and science.  By middle school he was determined to go to Clarkson University, and he did just that.  After obtaining his Bachelor of Science, his passion for learning led him to continue schooling and obtain a Master of Business Administration.  When the F&R CEO spoke to him at the Clarkson University career fair, he was locked in to embark on a bright future with F&R.  His love of engineering and passion for learning lead him to gain experience and knowledge in the various services that F&R performs.  After spending a few years growing in Construction Materials Testing (CMT), he found himself drawn to Geotechnical Engineering for the math and science required to be successful.  As he grew in the geotechnical engineering department he had the opportunity to become the Drilling Manager.  Later on, his well-rounded CMT, Geotechnical, and Drilling experience made him a perfect fit for the role of the Branch Manager of the Fredericksburg Office.

William’s branch management philosophy focuses on practicality, responsiveness, and technicality.  His goal is to service all clients with no-nonsense, cost‑effective solutions in a timely manner.  He uses the technical knowledge he has learned in order to provide useful and unique engineering solutions for a wide range of clients.  He is always ready for a new and unique challenge, so if there is ever a moment when you find yourself in need of a passionate engineer, give the F&R Fredericksburg office a call.
