The purpose of this $3 million project was to create a multi-use trail along the Chesapeake & Delaware canal for walkers, joggers, equestrians, and bicyclists, which encompassed approximately 16 miles of trail from Delaware City, Delaware to Chesapeake City, Maryland. The project also included the construction of four trailheads providing trail access and amenities.
Froehling & Robertson, Inc. was retained to provide 3rd party field and laboratory materials testing services. Specific areas in which F&R provided support and testing included:
- Quality Control;
- Graded Aggregate Base Course (GABC);
- Bituminous Paving; and
- Storm Drain Utilities.
