When a parcel of land in the very heavily-developed Chocowinity Industrial Park was being considered for future development, Froehling & Robertson, Inc. was called in to provide wetland and stream impact permitting services. F&R collaborated with officials to identify the supporting documentation needed, and with the client to create and submit a permit application package.
The team also worked with the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management to obtain a determination of the Area of Environmental Concern (AEC), and to secure written confirmation of a Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) Consistency Determination as requested by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The site is one of five North Carolina properties selected for Duke Energy’s Site Readiness Program in 2014. The chosen sites prepare the properties for potential industrial development.
