Froehling & Robertson, Inc. has been a key member of the Army’s efforts to expand and improve the housing options available at Fort Bragg. Most of this support has been in the area of construction materials testing and 3rd-party inspections.
F&R has worked on the construction of over 2,000 new single-family homes and the renovation of over 1,500 more. More than 1,500 homes are still to be built. In order to perform the 30 to 50 inspections a day that have been required, F&R always has a staff of three to five professionals on-site, full-time.
F&R is also providing testing and inspection services during the construction of the Randolph Pointe Single Unlisted Housing complex, an apartment complex that, when completed, will be made up of 13 two-story buildings, each with 16 units. Inspections are performed on earthwork operations related to structural fills, utility trench backfills, parking areas, and roadways. All of the cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel, and fire resistive materials were also inspected and/or tested by F&R to monitor compliance with the contract documents and applicable building codes.
All testing and inspection services strictly adhere to the Corps of Engineers’ standards for testing.
