Froehling & Robertson, Inc. was retained to provide geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections for this new apartment complex. The project consisted of building nine new three and four story apartment buildings, a clubhouse, pool, five garages, flexible pavements for driveways and at-grade parking. The project was generally situated on top of a hillside.
During the design phase, F&R performed subsurface exploration and geotechnical engineering analyses that resulted in detailed foundation design recommendations for both the structures and the parking areas.
Once construction began, testing and inspection services were provided by F&R staff on materials such as: earthwork, reinforcing steel, concrete, asphalt, and wood framing.
