We are proud to share that Jesse Phillips, CIH, CSP, CHMM, Industrial Hygiene Practice Leader, has graduated from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Virginia Enhanced Leadership Program. This nine-month-long program is designed to cultivate exceptional leaders in our industry. Participants master essential leadership skills, including effective communication, conflict resolution, and leading change. They develop a personal vision, define their leadership style, and plan for continued growth, including one-on-one mentoring.
The program also covers essential business practices, including contracts, ethics, finance, and political advocacy. Participants benefit from valuable networking opportunities with peers, fostering lasting connections. Upon completion, they earn a leadership training certificate and PDHs, recognizing their development as impactful leaders who drive company growth and create thriving businesses.
“There were so many valuable elements in the Enhanced Leadership Program,” said Jesse. “The most valuable aspects were foundational; this included developing a better understanding of myself and others. I hope that this new perspective allows me to be more effective in fostering individual success as well as the success of the F&R team. Of course, the most fun part was the personal connections and relationships developed along the way.”
“The ACEC Enhanced Leadership Program is a great opportunity to combine our core values of Continuous Improvement and Value and Respect for Employees and Clients,” said Christy Slaw, CSP, CHMM, F&R Vice President of Environmental Services. “We applaud Jesse for this milestone, his dedication to the program, and his continued growth, which strengthens our team and supports the clients we serve. Congratulations, Jesse!”
