Located at the east end of Water Street, next to Charlottesville’s historic Downtown Mall, this new 24,000 sf mixed-use, modern building boasts six levels over one level of below grade parking. Following a geotechnical review of existing data, F&R’s geotechnical engineers provided foundation design recommendations and undercutting requirements. During construction phases, F&R returned to the project site to provide materials testing and special inspections of compacted fill, foundations, cast-in-place concrete, masonry and structural steel.
