Andrews Air Force Base Ambulatory & Dental Clinic

F&R was selected to provide a full suite of construction materials testing and inspections services for the Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center at Andrews Air Force Base. This $214.8-million project involved the construction of a 344,544-square-foot facility that houses medical, ancillary, and support functions. The Dental Clinic is a 26,612-square-foot facility that meets the general and advanced dental needs of all eligible beneficiaries in the National Capital Region and supports an expanding Advanced Education General Dentistry Residency program. These new facilities achieved LEED® Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

F&R’s engineering professionals tested and inspected soils, cast-in-place concrete, reinforced steel, structural steel and welding, asphaltic pavements, masonry, fireproofing, and floor flatness testing.
