While growing up, most of Christy Slaw’s immediate and extended family members owned businesses. While she did not carry on this tradition herself, the traits that made them successful – hard work, dedication to your career, and customer service – were instilled in her and have served her and her clients well.

In college, Christy’s love of science grew from her distinct lack of interest in other subjects and an incredible professor who made chemistry fun. Luckily for F&R and our clients, a lack of opportunity in the chemistry field after graduation led her to environmental consulting. This allowed her two loves, science and the outdoors, to provide her with a career that has seen her work on thousands of projects over the past 20 years.

Today, Christy is a proud F&R employee, and she is happy to make a living in a profession that allows her to get to know her customers and provide them with solutions to their environmental needs. Christy’s duties regularly include consultation with clients on regulatory and technical issues supporting their business processes in risk management, real estate acquisition and development, and industrial operations. As Vice President of Environmental Services, Christy oversees environmental operations in each of F&R’s offices and provides guidance and overall management of the division.
