Patricia “Trisha” Preston, PHR, SHRM-CP, serves as F&R’s Director of Human Resources in the corporate office in Richmond, VA. An Emporia, VA, native, Trisha is an Army veteran with more than 17 years of human resources experience across various industries. She leads HR professionals in building and growing the F&R workforce, developing and implementing policies and training, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting F&R’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Trisha is a former U.S. Army Intelligence Analyst with extensive training in data acquisition, analysis, and organizational skills. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Her primary focus is on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment at F&R, and she is dedicated to ensuring that every employee feels valued and has a clear career path within the company. Her personal commitment is to spend time with employees, guiding them on their journey and helping them understand the steps they need to take to advance within F&R.

Outside of work, Trisha enjoys travel – especially on cruises with her husband. She also takes the opportunity to give back while seeing the world by participating in service trips to the Philippines and other destinations. Her volunteering extends to animal advocacy, as well. Here at home, she is a member of a group dedicated to transporting rescue dogs to foster and adoptive homes. When she gets the call, Trisha loads up a crate in her car, meets a dog at a pickup location, and drives them on the next leg of their journey home.
