Auburn Village

For two years, F&R provided construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering services for the development of Auburn Village, a 55+ active adult living community. At completion, the subdivision consisted of 375 single-family homes, seven stormwater ponds, 35 mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, and an amenity center featuring a clubhouse, swimming pool, and sports courts.

F&R’s certified technicians provided materials testing during the construction of the subdivision. Our services included subgrade evaluation before fill placement, observation and testing of structural fill materials, observation and testing of utility backfill, observation of proofrolls for roadway soil subgrade and ABC stone, density testing of roadway ABC stone, quality assurance testing during construction of MSE walls, and bearing grade evaluation, rebar inspection, and concrete testing associated with the construction of the amenity center.

Before the construction of the Amenity Center, Lennar (formerly CalAtlantic Homes) contracted F&R to provide geotechnical engineering recommendations for foundations, retaining walls, and site preparation.
