Banan “Ben” Uteir, P.E., MBA, has rejoined the firm as Branch Manager of the F&R Chesapeake office. He previously served as CMT Department Manager in F&R’s Richmond office in the early 2000s and returns to the company – and the U.S. – after providing services on many prominent projects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Mr. Uteir has more than 32 years of experience in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering and design, quality control, solid waste management, and clean-up/remediation-related work. He has managed numerous projects in these fields in Jordan, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. In his new role, Mr. Uteir will be responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of the F&R Chesapeake branch, including professional and technical staff development, business development, and financial success.

Mr. Uteir holds an MBA in Financial Management from Bristol University in Bristol, TN. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia.
